Post 626 (816) 787-1548 (Voicemail/Text)
Post 626 was first Chartered under Commander Bobby Watts and Adjutant Don Austin in June of 1975 in Gladstone Missouri. We received a new Charter in October of 1987 and officially changed our name during a ceremony on the 19th of March 1988 from Post 626 to The Bennett & Dennis Herrick Memorial American Legion Post 626 under Commander Burt Nelson and Adjutant Roger Kohrs.
We have served the citizens and veterans of Gladstone by providing an Honor Guard and or Color Guard at Memorial Day, the 4th of July celebration and many funerals. We have walked the Gladfest Parade and watched the Christmas Tree lighting. We have collected money on behalf of veterans and helped their family's in time of need. Missouri Boys State is something we are very involved with, sponsoring up to 7 boys one year.
We are proud to be a part of Gladstone.
